[TYPO3-project-4-3] 4.3. beta behaves like 3.8 = WTF

How did you install it? Manually by providing a "ready-to-go"
localconf.php or using the 1-2-3 install routine? AFAIK the 1-2-3
routine sets compat_version to the current branch in the newly created
localconf.php. If you install it manually (going straight to the
"Install tool"), this will not be set, because this is usually what you
do if you are upgrading.

Or what do you mean with "behaves like 3.8"??
