BTW, do you think it's possible to work with t3editor directly on files?
I often store TypoScript in the filesystem so it would be great if I
could also use it there.

Maybe a kind of extension to "application" mapping is needed for
File>Filelist. Then we could also have a PHP, JS or XML editor....
