I read about the reference theft discussion - at least I digged into it 
a little bit.

When someone shamelessly promotes a website he/she didn't implement as a 
reference I would call it a theft. But if someone shows screenshot of a 
website they did and is just not online anymore I would call it 
"Archive". I hope you agree.

I for myself have listed some projects on my website which are now 
handled by someone else.

Or even for a company which has already closed/deceased. What would you 
call it then? Reference necromancy? ;)
