That worked perfect! But then I realized mod_rewrite was not turned on
by default. I turned that back on, reinstalled the ext, and now it all
works. Now I can follow the rest of your tutorial! :)

Disable the extension realurl in the extension manager. (Or 
fix .htaccess, but that might require special handling on WAMP.)
