[TYPO3-install] Blank Page after removing die() function

Hi,
I have installed Apache,PHP5a and MySQL. I have tested PHP (phpinfo()) and 
its works, and phpMyAdmin conect correctly with MySQL.
My problem:
Trying to install dummy and src (4.0.2) packages all goes correct and i see 
removing die() fucntion message.
When i comment that part of code and then "http://127.0.0.1/~juan/t3/t" or
"http://127.0.0.1/~juan/t3/typo3/install/index.php?mode=123&step=1&password=joh316" 
i recive a blank page, not the installer.
If i try "http://127.0.0.1/~juan/t3/typo3/" y recive a message of "no 
database selected" so PHP works fine i think.
Whats the problem?
