[Typo3-install] Installing typo3 for first time

Hi

FollowSymlinks in enabled in apache,
I am using php 4.3.9-3.12 (the rpm from RHEL4) and i'm not sure if gd is
copiled with it... how can i see this (gd-2.0.28-4.4E.1 in installed)

i'll try and compile the newest php from source then.
