Hi Students,

If you are seeking for some inspiration for your GSOC project, here is
my advice for some strategic interessting stuff needed in TYPO3 V 4.X

* taxonomies
* global categories
* api functions to the core in REST/SOAP
* more caching backends (ie. redis)

I think that it would be great to use extbase and fluid for the stuff.
