kein gdlib2?
das ist schon eine recht seltsame einstellung

meine Einstellungen bei Mittwald:
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['GFX']['gdlib_2']      = '1';
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['GFX']['im_path']      = '/usr/local/bin/';
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['GFX']['im_path_lzw']  = '/usr/local/bin/';
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['GFX']['im_version_5'] = 'gm';
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['GFX']['TTFdpi']       = '96';

Das ist auch schon alles was in der localconf.php im Bereich 
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['GFX'] eingetragen ist. und bisher habe ich damit 
nirgendwo Probleme.
