[TYPO3-english] Translation in news

Hi,

I'd like to get some advise concerning translations in news (tx_news).

This is the current use-case:

1) Categories are translated:
     cat 1    ->    cat 2
     cat 3   ->     cat 4
     cat 5    ->    cat 6
     Here I can only chose cat 1,3 and 5 translations are not visible or usable at all in the news-records.

2) news-records are connected by language, display on base of language  is possible like intended.

3) categories in translated news-records are the same for all languages, it's neither possible to chose the translated version nor the translated version is displayed or automatically assigned.

4) Translation of pictures in news-records is only possible in the kind that meta-data can be changed. A unique picture for a translation (with text on the picture) can be assigned but is not displayed. How to display the picture without removing all the connections betweeen the languages?
