[TYPO3-english] Menus and sub-menus question

Hi guys,

I have recently acquired a typo3 build website and have managed to find my way around it, with the exception of one thing. 

I'm totally unable to comprehend where or how to edit the submenu items.  My website has a header menu which is automatically generated/updated with the new Pages that are set up. But sub-pages are not added to the menu at all. The main page they belong to is shown on the menu, but the drop-down menu is not picking up sub-pages.

The old developer somehow managed to set up the second-level, drop-down menu for one of the menu items, but this seems to be somewhat hard-coded somewhere, and I can't find it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
