Hey there.

Based on your requirements you might consider Neos.
Its general approach of editing pages makes it pretty transparent for editors since there is no distinct backend view like in TYPO3 CMS today. To edit a page, it just adds some panels around the actual page layout. There even is no distinction between frontend users and backend users, other than having a certain role which grants the privilege.

         Thank you guys for the reply, i'll need to discuss with my Boss about using the FE or the BE, but as far as i know they do really want to use the FE for the Intranet.
