don't use 4.5 any longer.
if you start new with TYPO3 use 6.2 or 7.0 which differ a great deal 
from 4.5.
AND: 4.5 will stop getting security fixes soon (just two months)

there might be more tutorials for 4.5 than for 6.2, but so you may use 
around 90% of same configuration. the remaining 10% might block your site.
be sure to learn TYPO3 state of the art - and get help for this version.
