[TYPO3-english] L10N Localization Manager

I am looking for help with regard to issues involving the L10N Localization Manager Extension. When importing XML files that have been translated into other languages, the translated texts do not appear where they should. For example the English texts appear under the standard language German. When importing the texts, there is no error message. I have compared the XML files and cannot find anything unsual. Could this be a language configuration issue. Any insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated.
