A small note: images you attach in the forum end up as unreadable text 
(see a small fragment below) for people who read the messages with a 
newsreader. Best way is to host any attachments somewhere on a web space 
and put a link in the post.

Back on topic: The first screenshot shows the presets section in the 
Install Tool. It tries to autodetect the GM/IM that is present in the 
installation by looking in a number of standard paths where the tools 
usually can be found. In your case IM is in a different location. You 
can enter that path in the input field just above those notification and 
use the button "Find executables in this directory" to let the Install 
Tool search in the right directory.
In case everything fails you can enter the details in the section 
"Custom configuration".

You mention that im_path_lzw is /usr/bin/ in the working installation, 
but in the screenshot it says /usr/local/bin/safe/ . Can this be the 
problem?

One things that comes to mind is that the resulting image cannot be 
written in the temporary directory. Are there no errors reported in the 
"Folder structure" and "System environment" pages of the Install Tool?
