Support for all versions of TYPO3 except 4.5 LTS will expire within 5 months, only TYPO3 6.2 LTS will be supported until 2017. 

So, to stay in support, many TYPO3 website managers are facing the following decisions:

1. Should we upgrade ourselves? - How much work will it be and do we have the time to do it properly?
2. Should we source the upgrade to an outside company? - How much will this cost and will they do a good job?
3. Should we go for a complete redesign of the website? - How much will this cost and do we have the time & budget for such a big project?
