[TYPO3-english] How many sites can you run from one CMS?

Hi,

A company has about 20 websites. They would like to be able to share 
files and content between the websites. So it would make sense to run 
multiple website from one CMS / database. But TYPO3 databases tend to 
grow to enormous proportions very quicky.

Each website contains of about 150 pages (mainly text), and 
approximately 150 tx_news articles a year (dating back to 2009).

How many websites would you put in one CMS, generally speaking, and why?
