So which of the parts belongs to which level of the nested FCEs and how
do the editors define the exact position of the + symbol? I guess this
is not completely covered by the backend layout in TV, so it would be
enough to have a visible representation of each element grouped by
container.
With Gridelements you could do it like this:
Let's take the first block with the hands holding the tablet.
AFAICS there is a headline, a subline and a background image covered by
3 (or maybe even more) text items, that will open when hovering their +
symbol.
So you will need a grid container with two areas, one allowing "Text
w/image" only, the other one allowing "Text" only. If you need
positioning as well, we could abuse the space before/after fields for
this task. The rest would be done with TypoScript and/or Fluid that will
create some individual rendering based on the column the items have been
placed into.
This has the advantage that you could even reuse the elements when
referencing them in another place, so they would behave completely
different depending on the surrounding column. Just like in this example
which is using references to the same elements within different
containers, thus creating a slider, an accordion and a tab:
