Hi,

The error can also occur in the frontend if you visit a page which is a
shortcut to a page with access restrictions:

-- Page1 --shortcut-to--> Page2
|-- Page2 <-- Access only to a group or logged in users
`-- Page3

The easiest solution is to make Page1 a shortcut to the first sub page.
If you're not logged in it will take you to Page3, if you're logged in
to Page2.

There are also other scenarios (for example with incorrect Mount Point
configurations) which produce this error.

TYPO3 first tries to find the final page it has to display and then it
tries to find the page back to (one of) the root page(s). If this
doesn't succeed the error "The requested page didn't have a proper
connection to the tree-root" is shown.
