Hi Tobias,

maybe the moc_varnish version from git helps:
https://github.com/revsbech/moc_varnish

I see even a commit from only couple of days ago that introduces async
cache purges (using a beanstalkd). In doubt you might want to pick a
version before that commit (e.g. de8757b571 Rewrite to 6.0
compatibility), which sounds a lot like what you want ;-)

Otherwise you might look into
Classes/VarnishPurgeService/CurlVarnishPurgeService.php to see, if and
what requests are fired to purge caches.
