[TYPO3-english] Upgrade Typo3 6.0.4 to 6.1.0

David Thank you for your response, and I did turn on all the PHP debug 
options, but that didn't help.

However, you were right about the Apache error logs, I found this:

Call to undefinded method TYPO3\\CMS\\COREUtility
\\GeneralUtility::int_from_ver() in /var/bla bla path to site 
root/typo3conf/ext/tt_news/ext_localconf.php on line 48.

I've looked at the php file, but I can't see what the issue is, and line 
48 is blank, most likely it's line 47 or 46, but I'm lost in that code.

My guess is go back to previous version and uninstall tt_news, then try 
upgrade and see if it works.  If so, try re-installing tt_news?

It's worth a try, unless anyone knows about a compatability problem with 
tt_news and version 6.1.0?
