yes, you are right. i didn't think of that. that's the reason for the 193px
scaling. and the other two images don't get scaled because they are smaller
than 193px.

but i still have the problem that the unscaled images don't show up in the
frontend. that is strange.

the table element that contains the image is grayed out in firebug. the src
of the image contains the correct path.
