[TYPO3-english] no caching of stdWrap.filelist / stdWrap.filelink ?

I have build a big download-directory with stdWrap.filelist and 
stdWrap.filelink (typoscript configuration [1] based on [2]).

As there are about 200 files sorted in folders 'a' to 'z' it takes some 
time to render the 26 parts of the page, and it seems that the page/ the 
download-directory is rendered anew on every page call.

is there no caching on these stdWrap functions?

can caching be enabled?
