[TYPO3-english] referring fileadmin pdf files

I have discovered the reason for not to be able to link to uploaded pdf 
files. If the pdf filename contains a dash the following error is thrown:

File extension 'pdf' not allowed. (tt_content:1008:media)

May be a bug?
