the new value is 99 and this value is the new default-value for the field.
look into ext_tables.sql and locallang_db.xml

Instead of the empty label I think it should be 'undefined' or 'unknown'.

I think now you can use fe_users also for companies (just addresses) and 
got no wrong salutation in direct_mail.

BTW: having now a third field in forms is a breaking behaviour which 
should be mentioned in the upload-text.

is 'Miss' still used official in england?
last week france terminated the official use of 'Madmoiselle', like 
'Fräulein' is gone in german long time ago.
