[TYPO3-english] typoscript: write image path in css

hi friends,

in the (backend) left column I have a CE with an image and a caption 
text. I need to find that image by typoscript and write it in css. 
because it is used as an background image. The caption text should be 
written in HTML.
I know the part how to put it out in html or css, but how to determine 
the path to the image and the caption text?

Could somebody explain me or give a hint, how I could get this? Thanks!
