Hi,

in general there are mostly no switches to turn things on/off as this
would just make the TS bigger and still wouldn't cover all the needs of
the integrators.

If you don't need something at all you need to remove it from the
template. as you need to touch the template anyway (I doubt the default
template will fit for anyone), this is absolutly fine.

you should btw use the version from git as this is most stable and
bugless version
