[TYPO3-english] Line Breaks In Sitemap

I'm using Typo3 4.5. I have a sitemap where I list the abstracts from certain pages. Some of those abstracts contain line breaks; however, the sitemap ignores all line breaks. Is there a way to include line breaks when display abstract sitemaps?
