Hi,

All your configuration and extensions are in typo3conf folder. Typo3temp and uploads folder contents are rewritten while the new site is up.

When I move the site, I do the following:
- upload dummy package (same version as your "old"), you get the proper files and folders
- in old server tar-pack fileadmin and typo3conf and upload to new server and unpack and replace the dummy ones
- copy the database from old to new

That should do it. After that you can upgrade. If you want long time support, choose 4.5. If you want new features, choose 4.6 and after a while upgrade to 4.7 and so on.

Although I don't believe any files of Typo3 are corrupt I would like to do a fresh install and then move the mysql database to the new computer. I know that I will need to move /fileadmin but are any other files from the original server needed to be moved? Just for reference, the issue I am having is anytime you make a change and submit it, the server throws a 500 Error, but the change is still made. Additionally I am unable to delete any pages.
