Hi all out there.
First of all, let me tell that I do not know the english language very
well, so I'll do my best.
Second, I would like to register the great search engine is mnoGosearch,
far faster and efficient than the Indexed Search. Congratulations!!
I have testing this extension for a future use in an intranet. The
extension was installed as explained by the manual EXT:mnoGoSearch
(2009) and it worked fine, exactly as explained by the manual. I have
installed the pdftotext and catdoc as well.
The extension is running but I have having troubles with the indexing
itself, which I tried to resolve through Google. But I was unsuccessfull.
After running the indexer script "php -q
/path/to/web/site/typo3/cli_dispatch.phpsh mnogosearch -w -n -a", the
search engine sometimes returns some pages/news with no files at all;
next time, it returns some pages/news with some files; and the another
one, different pages/news. The worst: sometimes, it returns nothing...
just a blank page!
By the way, the pages isn't marked as "non searchables" in the page's
properties.
I have tested all types of indexing records. I have alternate the order
of each indexing records as well: one time, I Disallow first; the next
one, I Allow first. I have even tried to register the indexable
webspaces in the files /opt/mnogosearch/indexer.conf and the problem
remains.
Is there any configuration for especifying the indexing period for each
kind of page/file (.html, .pdf, .doc)? Or is it enough to determine the
period of indexing either by activating the option "Indexing period
(hours or expression)" in each indexing records or the Period option in
the /opt/mnogosearch/indexer.conf?
At last, I have added the HTML coments <!--TYPO3SEACH_begin/_end--> in
all searchables templates.
What I'm doing wrong or forgetting?
Test enviromment:
mnoGoSearch 2.2.2
Apache 2.2.3
PHP 5.2.5
Typo3 4.4.8
MySQL 5.0.26, for suse-linux (x86_64)
Thanks in advance,
Paulo Miranda
