[TYPO3-english] Calendar Base - problem with descriptions in FE editing

I have Calendar Base version 1.4.1 installed in Typo3 4.5.3.  On the whole it is working well, but when a front end editor adds or edits an event the description is not saving, particularly if they then go on to the another tab and add an organizer or image.  Occasionally it will, but then it disappears when it is edited again.

Does anybody have any idea why this may be, please?
