  I am at the stage where I need to assign a TYPO3 user security to FILES&
DIRS under Fileadmin/

Can anyone point me in a direction to a good book/document that explains:

 

1.       How to create security for  typo3 USER ON A FILE/DIR

2.       How to create a TYPO3 security group and assign access to it for a
FILE/DIR ?



Has an API been developed for the D.A.M ?

If not, is the only way to control file access by users on a web page, via a
PHP script ?
