I think you should make the directory .../typo3conf/ext/tt_news/mod1 
non-writable for the group.
I've googled the message "SoftException in Application.cpp:601" and it 
turns out this is a message of cPanel.
You should check with you hosting provider what they advice for 
directory rights.
