[TYPO3-english] Multiple live page versions

Dear Group,

We are about to use TYPO3 to build a system for the documentation (manual) of a software tool. This software tool will be released in different versions for which different versions of the documentation will be needed. In effect we will need some kind of branching principle know from SVN/CVS to mimic the software versioning. Has anyone developed such a system to have multiple 'live' versions of a document before? We are currently thinking of creating a system to make a copy of an entire subset of a pagetree while preserving the relation to the original pages and content. 'Misusing' the localization engine and workspace engine have crossed our mind, but were particularly interested in a more elegant solution.

All thoughts are welcome!

Best regards,

Bart
