[TYPO3-english] transparent gif not transparent in content

Hi all,
I am struggling to get transparent gif's working.
The transparent part is replaced with white color.
I have tested it on other websites with the same server settings and 
Typo3 Version (4.5.3) and it showed ok.
But on one it just doesn't want to show correctly.
I suspect it's a CSS issue or a TS issue.

Adding
img { border: 0; background-color: transparent; }
to my css file did not help.

Any other suggestion?
