As said before, please see if there are reports about this in the 
bugtracker, and if not report them there.

Specific for the new extension manager, it is a new interface for the 
existing code base and it is not completed yet. Hopefully in beta4 
(which will be published very soon) it is almost completed and this will 
work as expected.

Reporting bugs in newsgroups/mailing lists is useless. It will just get 
lost between all posts. The bugtrackers on bugs.typo3.org and 
forge.typo3.org (for the projects which are moved to forge) are meant 
for bug reports.
