thanks! they look interesting at a first glance and i will look into them
more closely...

my main problem is how to add support for multiple dates to tt_news though.
do you have an idea how this best could be handled? the rest of tt_news
would be ideal for me.

i also came across the seminar extension, which looks promising but doesn't
offer some tt_news features i need. (i also don't need all the registration
stuff.)
