[TYPO3-english] RTE adding Backend URL to mailto: Links

Hi

this is very strange.

In one of my 4.5.5 Installations with RTE 2.1.7, if I insert an 
email-link via the RTE (either by just writing the mailaddress and 
automatical conversion or via the link popup), RTE on Firefox (6) 
prepends the backend URL to the mailto link:

<a 
href="http://example.ch/typo3/mailto:test@example.ch">test at example.ch</a>

This can get longer and longer:

"http://example.ch/typo3/mailto:typo3/mailto:typo3/mailto:test@example.ch"

In the DB it looks like this:

"<link typo3/mailto:typo3/mailto:typo3/mailto:test at example.ch>"

This sounds like old bugs as http://forge.typo3.org/issues/20620.
BUT - and that's why I'm not filing it as a bug - I can't reproduce it 
in another 4.5.5 Installation. It just happens in that single place.

No TS or TSConfig seems to be concerned. I can create a new root page 
with no configuration at all - bug persists.  Create a new admin - bug 
persists. I also checked the extension settings - the same as in my 
working installation. I even replaced sysext/htmlarea with a fresh copy 
- nothing.

I really don't have a clue on this. Any hint on how I could address it 
would be highly appreciated.
