[TYPO3-english] need help on graphics setup/configuration

Hello,

I have some t3 installations in parallel (using virtual hosts) and these differ 
slightly in handling of graphics.

The freshest installation is the 4.5alpha3 with introduction package, where I 
realized at the examples pages, that none of the image transformations was 
working on my host (debian squeeze up2date).

Working out the MW-tutorial I had to realize too, that none of the graphical 
operation is working.

So I tried to workout the tutorial using the debian t3 installation (version 
4.3.8) and all graphical operations worked fine. Then I compared the 
localconf.php of both installations, changing the localconf.php of 4.5alpha3 
to the values from 4.3.8 ...
The result is now, that all tests from "Image Processing" of the installation 
wizzard are running fine, but when I look at the examples pages from 
introduction package, there are no more (content-)images at all.

So I'm looking for help on system setup to get the graphic processing working.
