Hi Victor

an very easy way ist to install wordpress into the typo3 database. Than you
install the follwong Plugin into wordpress and follow the steps to convert
it to UTF8.
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbwp2utf8/
http://codex.wordpress.org/Converting_Database_Character_Sets read more
about how to do it here

after you finished and converted all tables to UTF8 delete wordpress and the
wordpress tables again.

Don't forget to do the necessary utf8 settings in your Apache, php and mysql
and of course TYPO3 and you are done.
you can read more about it in the blog of Dmitry
http://www.training-typo3.com/2008/12/15/typo3-multi-language/ ff.
