[TYPO3-english] search dam indexed files

Hello all.
I have just installed DAM 1.1.5 on a typo3 4.3.3 instance.
I'm trying to understand if it possible to create a search form that can
search among files indexed by DAM.
The only straight forward way I have found would be to use DAM Easy
Search  ( advoo_dameasysearch ) but it is in an alpha release status and
it has not been updated since almost 2 years ago.
It doesn't sound very promising.

The only other way seems to be using Indexed Search (indexed_search
2.12.0) together with Site Crawler (crawler 3.1.2). In this case however
it seems that the index engine would crawler and not dam and hence using
the Indexed search plugin I will not be able to specifiy DAM Categories
in search form.


Really it seems very strange to have a powerful solution (DAM)  to index
and organize data and not to have a solution for searching that
leverages on it to find documents.

I'm quite sure I'm missing something relevant but neither googling nor
searching typo3 dedicate web site led me to a better conclusion.
