Hi Eliott,

Its not totally clear exactly what your are doing

Can you confirm that what you do is:

- create a text/image content element

- add a pdf to the images field (via the browse for files popup)

- then in image links you select "Click-enlarge"

If I do this I get a layout with n image (resized to width /height I 
set), and when I click the image I get a popup with a larger jpg image 
(both are rendered from the pdf).

- or perhaps rather than click-enlarge you mean you set the pdf as file 
link in the "link" field?

If I do this then I get the image that links to the pdf doc

This is the same in 4.2.12 and 4.3.3 here

Have you tried a normal image instead of a pdf?
