[TYPO3-english] External tools installed for Indexed search

Hello group

I am trying to get indexed search, crawler and the build in scheduler to 
work. One of the requirements on installing 'Indexed search' is, that some 
external files are installed:  'pdftotext' and 'pdfinfo' and so on.

I have no experience in doing this. Is it seperate applications that should 
be installed on the server, where do I find them and how is it done?
