[TYPO3-english] Different location for temp_CACHE_* files

is it possible to set different location for typo3conf/temp_CACHE_* 
files after 4.2.6 version?

to improve security of the site I need to set read only permissions on 
most of typo3 folders including the typo3conf one.
Having temp files in that folder makes it impossible.

having temp files together with such files as ENABLE_INSTALL_TOOL in the 
same folder is not a good idea in general.

any advice to deal with this is appreciated.
