[TYPO3-english] typo3 4.3.3 validateform doesn't work?

hi,

i use the standard form content element:

Name: | *name = input, 40 |
Phone: | *phone = input, 40 |

|formtype_mail = submit | Submit!
|html_enabled = hidden | 1
|subject = hidden| Callback

and these messages:

styles.content.mailform.badMess = The following fields weren't filled in
correctly:
styles.content.mailform.goodMess = Thank you! We will contact you soon.



in typo3 4.3.3 the validation doesn't seem to work. badMess never shows. it
always shows goodMess and sends the mail even if the fields are missing. is
this a bug? anyone else with that problem?
