[TYPO3-english] rewriting the folder path

Hi,

This is probably not so much TYPO3 related, but maybe in some points it 
is and maybe some of you can give some recommendations and hints how to 
do it - if it's eveb doable..

The client is changing the old site to TYPO3 into an international 
installation (there are many sites and domains + reaurl in this 
installation).

Now very big part of the client's current system is based on pdf-files 
which now are nicely found in google search. After the change the folder 
paths change too.

the current is:

www.example.com/product/item1.pdf

the new will be:

www.example.com/fileadmin/files/lang/product/item1.pdf

Now the folder path will be much worse than it used to be. My questions are:
- Is it possible to rewrite this with some .htaccess to the original?
- and if it is, willl it infect on TYPO3 file browsing?
