No, it does not have to mean that. You can first store the images in fileadmin. Then when attaching the image, instead of clicking on "Choose Image" click on the folder icon to the right of the select box where the image paths eventually display. This will bring up a browser allowing you to navigate fileadmin and choose the image from that directory. This way the images are in one place on the web server (not local machines).
