[TYPO3-english] License of the introduction package

Hi Ben

Templavoila!

Here in Asia they simply don't like the way standard templating is working
in TYPO3 and they stay with Joomla. The WEC Package therefore does a much
better job even Jesus is (or because Jesus is) build inside ;-) We actually
have made out of this a lightweight Business Package which is 100%
compatible to all WEC Standard stuff and settings and works just fine.

The feedback we just became last weekend again was that TYPO3 sucks.
We asked them which CMS they were using/trying and why they are using it and
why they are NOT using TYPO3 until our workshop.
The answers from about 50% of participants which worked already or tried out
CMS but are not using TYPO3:
They are not using it because:
1. that there are no templates (most named case),
2. It is to difficult to setup and to modify (2. rang) and
3. the documentation is missing and very difficult to understand.

The other questions we asked was how they started and most started with the
new Introduction Package, and they did not know about the WEC package before
or wasn't able to find it - mostly because they had spelling problems to
write the long word "webempoweredchurch" as we found out.

When we showed them the new WEC Package and installed it with them, they
learned how to upload an extension (mainly they started loading up other
skins for the framework for templavoila to try them out) Than they deleted
stuff like devotional journal etc but ALL want to join us tomorrow in a SIPA
Seminar to promote ThaiPo3 now so happy are they now - this is our TYPO3 and
Free Open Source Software Usergroup here in Phuket. From 7 Interns which
started on Tuesday and from the weekend 5 more who came to a training for
starters "How to setup a website using a CMS" (TYPO3 was not mentioned in
the announcement) we are now 18 as those students went back to
their colleagues and reported about the great and very well documented WEC
stuff (with lots of images, shortvideos and easy to follow point to point
steps). Here at the local university they can study CMS - until now they
teach unfortunately only Joomla and Mambo. We hoe to change this soon.

This is our newest experience from last week and the weekend in practice to
promote TYPO3 in a JOOMLA and copy/paste Country.

Here is a huge market in Asia but with standard templating the people get
frustrated here.

So my suggestion would be to get a TemplaVoila Introduction Package running
in the same manor the WEC package is running but put simply the religious
stuff out and insert a language switcher! (This is actually what our Package
for trainings is too) This package should use the framework for templavoila
and wec_config as those 2 things beside the growing number of templateskins
is what people really like.

Simply build a package what EVERYBODY could use. Than the word get spread
and companies will hire TYPO3 people to setup their sites. It really will
create lots of new projects and jobs.

Andi
