[TYPO3-english] BE language after upgrade to 4.4

Hi!

After upgrading typo3 4.3 => 4.4 the German translation of the BE is 
incomplete. When editing a page conten in list-mode i get the message:

Edit Seiteninhalt "Mein Inhalt..." on page "Meine Seite"

Should be:

Bearbeite Seiteninhalt "Mein Inhalt..." auf der Seite "Meine Seite"

BTW: I tried to force typo3 to built a new l10n directory for language 
de but did not succeed. Even after renaming the l10n directory no new 
l10n directory is created, when doing "translation handling" in 
extension manager. Is there a way how to force typo3 to rebuild the l10n 
directory including system extensions?
