Do you want to track logged in users or just website statistics?
If you want to track logged in users perhaps you can check out
"loginusertrack"

Otherwise maybe it is wiser to use something like Google Analytics?

quick question:
is there a good extension  to track visitors to a site.
Searching the TER I find Visitor tracking (ws_stats). 
Is it worth a try? Anything else?
