[TYPO3-english] wrap image external link

Hi,

I'm having problem with somethig that seems like a routine job. I want
to wrap a link around image like this:

lib.image = IMAGE
lib.image {

file=fileadmin....
wrap=<a href="www.something.com"/a>
.
.
}

This link gets prepended with /var/www/typo3 in frontend and becomes
/var/www/typo3/www.something.com.

Is this a bug or I'm doing something wrong? I'm using TYPO3 4.3 & FF 3.5.7
